Hello there! I’ll be covering “about” information for both this site and myself. Here we go…

The following is what my goals for this site are once I get it off the ground. Essentially, it will be a culmination of everything that I am, and everything I do. Hopefully.

My intention for this site is to be myself in as many ways as possible. I’ve never been much of a media-maker, but I’ve found that getting things down in words, images, video, or any other media, is a great way to grow. Rather than just reflecting on my thoughts, I can review and learn from the pieces of my experiences that I have recorded. What’s more, you can take that journey along with me. I hope to be able to express who I am as a person through the records I leave behind. I hope that my happiness, my caring, and my passion are evident through what you see here. I also hope to rarely come off as corny and cliché as I do now. But, even when I do, know that I am honest, and I mean every word I say. ALWAYS. I wouldn’t put it in writing/etc. if I didn’t stand by it.

Now, a few things about me…

-I am Haitian. I am Guyanese. I am black. I am proud. Like, very proud. Thanks, mom and dad =).

-I am generally a happy person. On a terrible day, I wouldn’t think of rating my life at the moment below a 7 out of 10. I love life, every day.

-That said, I’m not a disgustingly cheery person. Happiness is the norm for me, so I don’t necessarily trot about with a grin on my face whenever I’m happy; not only would it be forced, it would get very creepy very quickly. Also, I won’t try to force my happiness on you. I understand that people have bad days. I have bad days. Happy people are allowed to be angry too. Being mad and hating your life don’t go hand in hand.

-I love music. All kinds of music. There is no genre of music that I completely dislike. Yes, that includes country. I love songs with meanings behind their lyrics, whether they’re easy or difficult to decipher, and whether or not their meanings are deep or shallow. I love songs with dumb lyrics that are just fun to listen to; fun to dance to; fun to get you in a new mindset and put you in character. I love music with a beat that completely engulfs you, with instruments that seize your thoughts and emotions and make you wish you knew how to play them. I don’t love every song in the world; I don’t like every song in the world. Actually, there are many songs that I don’t like. But I do give every song I come across a chance. Also, even though I generally love music, there is SO MUCH music that I am not familiar with. I’m trying to expand my music palate all the time. It is hard work.

-I am easily amused. Usually.

-I love people. I love people. I love people. Yes, I wrote that three times on purpose. I care. I don’t think people in general care enough (about other people…all other people).

-I am a very considerate person. Maybe to a fault at times; I’d like to think not. It bothers me when others are not considerate. It’s one of the few things that really gets to me. Mostly because I find it (being considerate) to be such an easy thing to do.

-I love technology. I follow technology. And I am passionate about social media/new media. It is the future of personal and business success. We’re in a time where people can truly be heard. Those who hear will see great benefits. We’re in a time where companies have an opportunity to LISTEN, and through transparency and real effort, show their audience and consumers that they care. People like to be listened to. People love to be cared about. THOSE WHO TRULY LISTEN AND TRULY CARE WILL WIN.

-I love Gary Vaynerchuk because he listens and cares and gets it, and is so good at spreading the word. A random shout out, yes, but I wouldn’t include his name in here if who he is as a person is not such a big part of who I am. I hope we both continue to shine in the caring that makes us great.
